About Us
An Overview of Women's Church
Each Thursday, we kick off the morning with an early cuppa @ 9.00am, then @ 9.30 women of different ages meet in
the church to sing praises to God, hear and read His word, pray to Him and listen to Biblical teaching.
This
is followed by morning tea and then Life Groups, where women study in depth, passages based on the morning's
teaching.
The service leading and teaching is predominantly by women in the church and sometimes
visiting speakers following Paul's command for women found in Titus 2:3-5
..."Likewise,
teach the older women
to be reverent in the
way they live, not to
be slanderers or
addicted to much wine,
but to teach what is
good. Then they can
train the younger
women to love their
husbands and children,
to be self-controlled
and pure, to be busy
at home, to be kind,
and to be subject to
their husbands, so
that no one will
malign the word of
God."
Women's
Church is completely run by volunteers. Alongside Debbie Galea as leader, we have 12 women who care for the
spiritual and physical needs within the small groups, welcomers, song leaders and various Bible and prayer
leaders.
The Minister of St John's Anglican, Tony Galea, is recognised as the head authority under
Jesus.
